Vivekananda College of Engineering & Technology  Puttur

Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Vivekananda College of Engineering and Technology, Puttur in association with IEEE VCET Student branch and Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering had organized a workshop on” from 22nd - 23rd August 2023. The resource person was Dr. Mahanthesh R Choudhari, Founder & Director, MARC-EDU TECH, Bengaluru.

Rresource person started the session were he explained about Embedded system and PCB. There was an online session in Google Meet platform with Mr.Arun S K who is the Senior Project Lead of Oracle, India and gave information regarding Oracle database, Major technology like Artificial Intelligence, Deep learning, Machine learning etc. Also there was an online session in MS Teams platform with Syed Zaid, PCM-ADAS, Bosch Global Technology Pvt Ltd. He said about the car which was developed by their company and also about Bosch driving assistant also said about the Bosch Tube, DASy. The session in Google meet platform was held were the resource person was Zahira who is an Assistant Professor of an Engineering college in Bangalore. She said about the IOT, Robotics and also related to Mini-Project and also about process of evaluation. She also said about the importance of Courses and Internships.

The second day of workshop was started with the session of the resource person Dr. Mahanthesh R Choudhary regarding Aurdino and types of Aurdino and students were asked to perform some of the operations on Aurdino with the help of the sensors like blinking an LED, Ultrasonic sensor, PIR sensor, Servo motor, Smoke detector etc. Also students were given with the programs related to that and they performed the operations using Aurdino UNO. Later students had a session regarding the basics of Robotics and its information. After this session students were given materials so that to prepare their own robot and they had to perform internal connections.

This talk was coordinated by Prof. Pramod Kumar PM, and Dr. Jeevitha B K, Department of CSE. Prof. Krishna Mohana A J, HOD, Dept. of CSE and Prof. Shrikanth Rao, HoD, Dept of ECE were present for the inaugural function. Ms. Akrithi Y Shetty welcomed the resource person and Ms. Divya R K delivered vote of thanks. Ms. Pavithra V of 2nd year CSE introduced the speaker to the audience and she was master of ceremony.
