In order to commemorate the celebration of International Yoga Day, a yoga session was organized at Sir M Visvesvaraya Hall, by MBA Program, Vivekananda College of Engineering and Technology. The event, which took place on June 10, 2023, aimed to promote the practice of yoga among the students. Sri Chandrashekhara, the Yoga Education Coordinator of Vidyabharathi, D.K, served as the esteemed resource person for the session.

 The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the auspicious beginning of the event. Sri Chandrashekhara addressed the students, emphasizing the significance of yoga in today's fast-paced world. He shed light on the various benefits of incorporating yoga into one's daily routine, including stress reduction, improved mental well-being, and physical fitness.

 Following his insightful address, Sri Chandrashekhara conducted an extensive yoga session, which lasted for over two hours. The session catered specifically to the Final year MBA students, providing them with an opportunity to experience the practice of yoga firsthand.

 Dr. Robin Manohar Shinde, Associate Professor in the MBA Program, presided over the event as the President. He urged students to practice yoga to gain good health and control distraction. His presence and support further encouraged the students to actively participate and engage in the yoga session. Mrs. Reshma Pai, a faculty member of the MBA program, warmly welcomed the gathering, setting a positive and inclusive atmosphere for the commencement of the event.

The International Yoga Day programme at Vivekananda College of Engineering and Technology served as a remarkable platform to raise awareness about the transformative power of yoga. It allowed students to explore and experience the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of this ancient practice.  International Yoga Day, celebrated annually on June 21st, continues to gain prominence worldwide, promoting the holistic well-being of individuals and fostering unity and harmony among diverse communities. The programme at Vivekananda College of Engineering and Technology exemplified this spirit, inspiring the students to embrace yoga as an integral part of their lives.
