Event Overview:

The Hackathon 2k23 was successfully conducted on December 6th, 2023, at Vivekananda College of Engineering and Technology, Puttur. It was Organized by the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in association with IEEE VCET Student Branch and IEEE Mangalore Subsection, the event aimed to foster innovation and problem-solving skills among the participating students.

Distinguished Guests:

The formal function was presided over by Sri. Sathyanarayana B, Director, Governing Council, VCET. Also, the event witnessed the presence of Dr. Mahesh Prasanna, Principal; Dr. Govindaraj P, Head of AIML Department; Dr. Jeevitha B K, IEEE Branch Counselor; Prof. Vaishnavi K V, Event Coordinator, AIML Department; and Mr. Kiran CC, President of the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Student Association.

Words of Encouragement:

The guest of honor, Sri. Sathyanarayana B, emphasized the importance of participating in technical events and encouraged students to enhance their skills through such platforms. Dr. Mahesh Prasanna, the Principal, stressed the value of taking part in technical events, encouraging students to improve their skills through such opportunities to broaden their horizons.

Event Highlights:

The master of ceremonies (MC) for the event was led by Mr. Akarsh Rai and Ms.Shreenidhi, both from the 7th semester of the AIML department.

• Ms. Apeksha Rai, also from the 7th semester, spoke about the significance of the Hackathon, setting the tone for the event.

• Prof. Rajani Rai, IEEE Branch Faculty Advisor, extended a warm welcome to the gathering, setting the stage for an exciting and enriching event.

• Prof. Vaishnavi K V, the Event Coordinator from the AIML Department, expressed gratitude and delivered the vote of thanks at the conclusion of the function.

The event was marked by enthusiasm, innovation, and a collaborative spirit, as students showcased their talent and problem-solving abilities. The successful completion of Hackathon 2k23 not only demonstrated the enthusiasm of the participants and also emphasized the commitment of the organizers and the support of the academic community.
