The Basic Science department of Vivekananda College of Engineering and Technology, Puttur, organized Parents–Teachers meeting of first year B.E. on 08-08-2023, Tuesday in association with Parent Relation Cell, Vivekananda College of Engineering and Technology, Puttur. The meeting had begun with the registrations and followed by the formal function in Sri Rama Sabhabhavana Seminar Hall, Sudarshana Block at 2:00 PM. The main purpose of the meet was to create a common platform where parents and teachers have a positive communication for the all-round development of the student and achieve targets of effective education. Prof. Ramananda Kamath, Head, Department of Basic Science welcomed the gathering. Dr. Mahesh Prasanna K, Principal, Vivekananda College of Engineering and Technology, Puttur highlighted the important points regarding attendance, Internal Assessment marks of 22-scheme. The academic toppers of first semester of all branches were felicitated. Later, Parents interacted with Governing Council members, Vivekananda College of Engineering and Technology. Dr.Mahesh Prasanna K, Principal, Vivekananda College of Engineering and Technology, had satisfactorily answered all the queries asked by the parents. President of the function Sri. Muralidhara Bhat B, Treasurer, Governing Council, Vivekananda College of Engineering and Technology emphasized the combination of students, parents and teachers in building better relationship with the society. He also advised the parents to closely watch the daily routine activities of their wards and requested the parents to monitor the academic performance of the students. At the end of the programme Dr. Shwethambika P,Assistant Professor, Department of Basic Science also the Chief coordinator of Parent Relation Cell, Vivekananda College of Engineering and Technology proposed vote of thanks. Prof. Thejaswini L P and Prof. Soujanya M M, Assistant Professors, Department of Basic Science were the masters of the ceremony. After the formal function refreshment food was served and the parents were guided to the particular section of their wards, where parents had a chance to interact with all the course teachers who are teaching their wards. About 120 parents had participated in the meeting.
