Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Vivekananda College of Engineering and Technology, Puttur in association with Alumni Cell had organized a talk on “ Industry Connect – Placement Preparation” on 3rd August 2023. The resource person was VCET-CSE alumni Ms. Meghana Thara Kini, Application Engineer, Amazon. She had given tips on how to face an interview in a big technical company. The focus of the interviewer will be on students’ personal projects. This will help them to know that students take initiatives from their side to work in industry. This has a big impact on the students’ ability, creativity and personal growth. She added to try to implement at least2 technical projects – be it building a website, an Android app, etc.
Ms. Meghana also expressed the importance of Aptitude test preparation. She told to maximize the speed in the logic and quantitative aptitude sections. Students should read a lot of English newspapers to tackle the verbal section. Understand the importance of placements.
The program commenced with the invocation by Ms.Ananya D R and Team, 5 th Semester CSE. Prof. Krishna Mohana A J, HoD, CSE welcomed the gathering. Prof. Swapnalaxmi K Asst Professor, CSE delivered the vote of thanks. Prof. Pramod Kumar P M, & Prof. Swapnalaxmi K Assistant Professor, Dept.of CSE coordinated the event.
