The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science) at Vivekananda College of Engineering and Technology, Puttur, in collaboration with ADSS, organized a workshop on Big Data Analytic Tools on June 13, 2024, at MCA Laboratory 1, VCET Puttur. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Adithya M and Mr. Dhanush Ghate D, who are currently pursuing their MTech in CSE at NMAMIT, Nitte.
The event began with a brief introduction of the resource persons and welcome address by the Head of the Department, Prof. Roopa G K. The workshop started with an overview of data concepts, followed by an explanation of Big Data and an introduction to the tools used for managing it.
The resource persons then delved into Big Data Analytic Tools, including Pig and Pyspark, and also covered NoSQL databases. Participants gained a solid understanding of the fundamental concepts of Big Data and its associated tools.
The workshop was engaging and provided insights into new technologies. It concluded with vote of thanks by ADSS Coordinator Prof. Chaithanya D. Ms. Sinchana Lakshmi served as the master of ceremony.
