Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Vivekananda College of Engineering and Technology, Puttur in association with Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) had organized the celebration of Teachers’ day which was conducted successfully with the active participation of Management, Principal, HODs, Staffs and Students on 5 th September 2023.
Sri. Harisha Shastry B, Lecturer, Vivekananda PU college, Puttur was the chief guest of the function. Sri T S Subramanya Bhat, Correspondent, VCET Governing Council was president of the function. Dr. Mahesh Prasanna K, Principal of the institution graced the occasion. Dr.Manujesh B J, HOD, Mechanical Engineering, Coordinator, ISTE, VCET, Puttur and Prof.Krishna Mohana A J, HOD, Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering were also present.
Sri. Harish Shastry recalled his beautiful experiences of his teaching career. He also remembered his students those who are in noble professions like doctors, teachers etc. He added that teaching is a noble profession which creates all other professions. On behalf of the teaching fraternity, floral tribute was given to Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishna during the program. On this special occasion, the teachers who recently obtained their Doctoral degree were honored for their excellence.
The program commenced with the invocation by Ms. Anagha and Ms. Sumana from First year. Ms. Yashwitha M of second year CSE welcomed the gathering. Ms. Sandra S Pillai of second year CSE introduced about the Chief Guest and Ms. Bhuvaneshwari of second year CSE spoke about the Teacher’s Day. Ms. Varshitha K of second year CSE delivered the vote of thanks. Ms. Sakshi Shetty P of second year CSE was the master of the ceremony of the event. Prof. Pramod Kumar P M, Assistant Professor, Dept.of CSE and Prof. Thapaswini P S, Assistant Professor, Dept.of CSE coordinated the event.
