The Department of MBA organized an international webinar on “Leadership Alignment & High Performance” under its International Industry Expert Speakers Series on 28th January 2026. The programme was attended by First Year MBA students.
The session was delivered by Ms. Mayumi Cox, CEO and People & Organization Co-Creator, Team Next LLC, Japan, who shared global insights on purpose-driven leadership in today’s rapidly changing and uncertain business environment. She highlighted how clear organizational, team, and individual purpose acts as a guiding force for alignment, faster decision-making, ownership mindset, and sustained high performance.
Ms. Cox emphasized that effective leadership goes beyond motivation and control, focusing instead on translating purpose into everyday actions and priorities. The interactive session encouraged students to think critically about their future leadership roles and the importance of aligning strategy with meaningful execution.
The session concluded with a challenging question and answers, this led to a vibrant discussion regarding the practical application of these values in management roles and the challenges of maintaining alignment in high-pressure environments.
