The Department of MCA, Vivekananda College of Engineering and Technology (VCET), Puttur, under the Ankuram Association, successfully organized a session on “Effective Resume Writing” on 29th April 2026 at 2:00 PM in Room A326.
The session aimed to enhance students’ understanding of professional resume preparation and to equip them with the necessary skills required for placements and career advancement. The program focused on guiding students in structuring resumes effectively, highlighting key strengths, and presenting their qualifications in a clear and impactful manner.
The session was conducted by the esteemed resource persons Prof. Smitha, Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering & Placement, and Prof. Sheethal S K, Assistant Professor, Department of MBA & Placement. Both resource persons shared valuable insights on resume building, including formatting techniques, common mistakes to avoid, and strategies to tailor resumes according to job requirements.
The speakers emphasized the importance of clarity, relevance, and professionalism in resume writing. They also provided practical tips on how to present academic achievements, technical skills, and project experiences effectively. The interactive nature of the session enabled students to clarify their doubts and gain hands-on knowledge.
