Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Vivekananda College of Engineering and Technology, Puttur in association with Alumni Cell and IEEE Student Branch (STB11471) VCET had organized a talk on “React Native” on22/04/2023 at MAD Lab, VCET, Puttur. Talk was given by Mr. Dwarakanath, software Developer, Ovyo Tech services who was alumna of VCET.
The workshop focused on how to build native iOS and android app using React Native such that it can be easily be extended to any platform such as Windows Phone, Web, Desktop, Electron and even VR*. In short, the workshop focused on how to write/structure React Native apps such that they share 80% of the source code across all the platforms and only rewrite the view or layout layer differently for different platforms.
Around 75 students of CSE department got benefited from the above talk. Overall, the session was very useful and students grabbed more knowledge. The program was well organized and executed. This workshop was coordinated by Mr. Pramod Kumar PM, and Mrs. Swapnalaxmi K, Assistant Professor, Department of CSE. Prof. Krishna Mohana A J, HOD, Dept. of CSE welcomed the speaker and Prof. Pramod Kumar P M delivered vote of thanks. Shravya of 3 rd year CSE introduced the speaker to the audience and she was master of ceremony.
