Department of Basic Science, Vivekananda College of Engineering and Technology, Puttur had organized a talk on “Thinking, Design Thinking and Start -up’s” on 06.03.2023 from 11.10 AM to 12.45 PM at Sir M Visvesvaraya Hall, Krishna Chethana Block. The session was started by welcoming the speaker Dr.Ashok Rao, Founder and Mentor, Vidyakosha Pvt Ltd, Bangalore, Former Head, Network Project, CEDT, IISc, Bangalore. Principal Dr Mahesh Prasanna K welcomed the speaker florally. The speaker was introduced to the audience by Mr. N S Sudeep Shiva Rao of 1st semester EC. The speaker started his session on the topic “Thinking, Design Thinking and Start -up’s”. The speaker explained about Design Thinking and its connection with Product Design. He motivated the students to become a Product Designer. He spoke about the preparations for becoming an Entrepreneur via Start-up’s. He advised the students to focus on design thinking and entrepreneurship instead of focusing only on the curriculum. The session was ended up by thanking the speaker and the audience. Ms. Ashwini K of 1st semester EC was the master of the ceremony. HoDs of department of AI/ML and ECE were present in the session. Prof. M. Ramananda Kamath, HoD Department of Basic science coordinated the session with the involvement and contribution of all fellow colleagues and students.
