Vivekananda College of Engineering & Technology  Puttur

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science) of Vivekananda College of Engineering and Technology, Puttur, in collaboration with ADSS, organized a workshop on MongoDB; on July 22, 2024, at Classroom E213 in the Krishna Chethana Building, VCET Puttur. The workshop was led by Mr. Supreeth G. S. and Ms. Prajnashankari M. N., who are currently pursuing third year BE in CSE (Data Science).

The workshop's content was comprehensive, starting with the basics of NoSQL databases and MongoDB's history and architecture, providing a solid foundation. The sessions on CRUD operations were particularly insightful. Hands-on exercises reinforced the concepts learned during the theoretical sessions, allowing participants to apply their knowledge in real-time. The walkthrough of the MongoDB Compass interface was thorough, making it easy for participants to navigate and perform operations.

Overall, the MongoDB workshop offered a solid introduction to the database system, catering well to both beginners and those with some prior knowledge. The combination of theory and hands-on practice was effective in fostering learning.
