Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Vivekananda College of Engineering and
Technology, Puttur in association with ACES had organized a technical Talk on
“Artificial Intelligence: An illustration with Biometrics”on 16/02/2023 at Sri Rama Sabha Bhavana, VCET, Puttur. Talk was given by Dr. Sharada S Bhat, Associate Professor, Government First Grade college, Ankola. Dr. Sharada S Bhat started from the basic of AI and covered the topics as much as possible. She made students to think more on the emerging technologies. Past, Present and Future of AI was discussed. Real time examples where discussed much which made students to understand the concept better. She also narrated about biometrics and its usage in AI. The session was interactive and students answered the questions in an effective way.
Around 120 students of second year CSE department and students of IEEE branch, VCET got benefited from the above talk. Overall, the session was very useful and students grabbed more knowledge. The program was well organised and executed. Dr. Uma Pare coordinated the event. This workshop was coordinated by Mr. Pramod Kumar PM, and Dr. Uma Pare of Department of CSE. Ms. Sameeksha of 2 nd year CSE welcomed the speaker and Dr. Uma Pare delivered vote of thanks.
