
The Post Graduate Departments of MBA and MCA at Vivekananda College of Engineering & Technology (VCET), Puttur, inaugurated the MBA & MCA Batch 2025–27 on Monday, 3rd November 2025, at Savarkar Sabhabhavana. The event marked the formal beginning of the academic journey for the new postgraduate students.
The ceremony began with an invocation and lighting of the lamp, symbolising the dispelling of ignorance and the ushering in of knowledge. Dr Robin Manohar Shinde, Director, MBA, welcomed the gathering.
The Chief Guest, Ms. Pruthvi Alva B., Compliance Associate at Third Bridge Group Limited, Mumbai, and an alumna of the MBA department inspired the students through her insightful address. She urged students not to feel shy or inferior, to work on communication skills, and to embrace continuous learning. She emphasized the importance of humility, respect for elders, and seizing every opportunity that comes their way. Drawing from her professional experience, she encouraged the newcomers to cultivate analytical thinking, adaptability, and ethical values to succeed in the dynamic corporate world.
Dr. Mahesh Prasanna K, Principal VCET Puttur, congratulated the students for choosing the institution and underlined how the MBA and MCA programs play a transformative role in shaping careers. He also spoke about VCET’s legacy of producing competent professionals and wished the new batch great success.
Sri K. Vishwas Shenoy, President of the Governing Council, commended the departments for their efforts and expressed pride in the teachers’ knowledge, passion, and commitment. He reminded students that freedom with discipline leads to excellence and encouraged them to make extra efforts to make their parents and teachers proud.
Prof. Reshma Pai A. and Prof. Neema presented glimpses of the MBA and MCA Association activities respectively. Dr Jothimani K., Director, MCA, proposed the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries and participants for making the event a success.The program was compered by Ms. Shrutha Rai, MBA student, and Mr. Adithya, MCA student. The heads of various departments, faculty and staff of MBA and MCA students were present for the ceremony.
