The session on ‘Drug free Dakshina Kannada’ was organized in Vivekananda College of engineering and Technology, Puttur on 21/07/2023. It was conducted with the joint collaboration of National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Vivekananda College of Engineering & Technology-Puttur, Office of Deputy Superintendent of Excise, Puttur. At 11.15 am, the chief guests of the function, Sri Ashok Pujari, DySP Excise, Puttur has taken initiation to take up the session on ‘Drug Free Dakshina Kannada’ programme.
The chief guests of the function Sri Ashok Pujari, DySP Excise, Puttur has conveyed the gatherings about adverse effects of consumption of any varieties of drugs and shared his previous experience and the cases on drugs. The session was interactive and most of the students have witnessed the session and interacted with the guest.
The guest has highlighted the role of students, the state of modern society and responsibilities of teachers to construct the drug free society. Also he expressed his gratitude to Youth Red Cross unit, NSS unit for its endeavor in this regard. Total 320 students participated in the programme. Mr. Adithya of 2ndSem CS welcomed the gathering and proposed vote of thanks.
