The Department of MCA, VCET Puttur, organized a technical session on “An In-Depth Exploration of Project Work Selection and Documentation”. The event was graced by Dr. Jothimani K, Professor & Director, Department of MCA, VCET Puttur, and Dr. Manujesh B J, Professor and Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering, VCET Puttur.
The session was conducted by Dr. Manujesh B J, who shared valuable insights on effective project selection and documentation. He highlighted various project selection areas, stressing the need to align with current trends. Students were guided on preparing strong abstracts covering background, motivation, problem, methodology, results, and observations, with examples of abstracts and journal papers for better understanding. The talk also detailed report preparation, explaining each section systematically, including the title page, introduction, literature review, system analysis, design, implementation, testing, results and discussion, conclusion, and references. The session equipped students with essential skills for professional project documentation.
Additionally, he highlighted the broad structure of journal writing, focusing on introduction, methodology, results, discussion, and conclusion.
