The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, in association with the Computer Science Engineering Students Association (ACES) , IEEE VCET Student Branch, ISTE and IIC. successfully conducted a one-day workshop on Application Development using “ROKU” on 24 th September 2025 at the ML Lab (A-106). The workshop aimed to introduce students to the fundamentals of the Streaming platforms and demonstrate how Streaming platforms/OTT platforms can be automated for real-world applications. The session was led by 3 rd year students – Mr. Adithya, Mr. Abhayaraj Bhat N, Team members: Mr. M Skanda Shyam Bhat, Ms. Aashitha Prabhu B who provided practical insights into “ROKU” Workshop. The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 30 students of 2 nd Year CSE department. The event commenced with a warm welcome speech by Ms. M
Ananya ,2 nd year CSE who introduced the guest and highlighted their expertise. A floral welcome was extended to the speakers by Prof. Pradeep Kumar K G HOD of CSE department, as a token of appreciation for their time and effort in guiding the students. The Roku Workshop offered participants a clear understanding of smart TV application development and its industry relevance. Through practical demonstrations and guided sessions, students gained insights into building and deploying applications on the Roku platform. The workshop highlighted the potential of OTT development, motivating participants to apply these skills in academic projects and future professional opportunities.
