The PyTorch Hands-on Session was conducted on 23rd and 24th October 2025, with a total of 54 registrations and around 30 active participants on both days.
The session was graced by the presence of Mr. Abhishek Kumar, Head of the Department, and Mr. Ajay Shastry, AISA Coordinator, along with four mentors from the 7th Semester AI Department — Deepesh P. V, Maneesh Anchan B, Dhanvith Shetty, and M. D. Keerthan Kumar.
The program began with a formal inauguration, followed by presentations, hands-on coding activities, debugging exercises, and task-based assessments. Participants actively engaged with the exercises, showing enthusiasm and curiosity to explore PyTorch concepts beyond the assigned tasks.
The second day continued under the guidance of the mentors, including presentations, coding practice sessions, debugging challenges, and resource sharing to enhance understanding. Students demonstrated creativity by experimenting with their own code improvements and applying concepts effectively.
The overall feedback was highly positive, with participants appreciating the practical, interactive approach of the session. They suggested minor refinements in the pace of activities for better understanding. Many students also expressed a strong interest in attending future advanced sessions focusing on PyTorch and Deep Learning.
