National Service Scheme(NSS) unit, Kannada Sangha and Indian Society for technical education (ISTE) of Vivekananda college of engineering and technology, Puttur has celebrated KANNADA RAJYOSTAVA program on account of Kannada rajyostava on 02nd November 2022 at 12.00 noon. Dr. Shridhar H G, HOD, Department of Kannada, Vivekananda Degree College, Nehru Nagara was the chief guest. He addressed the students by telling responsibilities of being a Kannadiga and gave a glance on Karnataka and kannada language history. Sri. Satyanarayana B, Director, VCET governing council was the president of the function. Dr. Mahesh Prasanna K, Principal, VCET, Puttur, Dr. Manujesh B J, HOD, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Prof. Naveena C, Coordinator of Kannada Sangha and Prof. Nisha G R, NSS Coordinator was resided over the program. All NSS Department Coordinators, NSS volunteers and students attended the program.
On account of Kannada Rajyostava three competitions were conducted in the college namely, Bhavageethe, pick and speak and kannada speech on poets. 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize were declared and winners awarded with prizes during the program.
