MASTER OF COMPUTER APPLICATION (MCA)

MCA programme is an important source of human resource for the software industry. The Department offers a two years course approved by AICTE, Government of Karnataka and is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum, Karnataka.

Computer Applications at Vivekananda College of Engineering & Technology is composed of core classes organized around the study of design and analysis techniques used to write software in various application domains along with details about the internal workings of computers and networks. Elective classes in areas such as Rich Internet Applications, Mobile Computing, Advanced Computer Networks, Graphics, Unix System Programming, Artificial Intelligence and others allow students to explore areas of individual interest. 

The students entering MCA must have a B.C.A./B.Sc./ B.Com/B.A. degree with Mathematics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or at graduation.
